The fattest Bumble Bee landed on my yoga mat in the garden this morning. As much as I have always aspired to be an apiarist I must accept I am far too irresponsible, so these little Bee Houses would be a lovely alternative.

Helen Carnac is a maker, curator and academic who lives and works in London. Drawing, mark-making, the explicit connections between material, process and maker and an emphasis on deliberation and reflection are all central to her practice as a maker and thinker.
Watching a film, sinking back into an oversize cushion, feeling the gentle undulations of the sea below while shrouded in the warmth of Thailand … could a cinema experience get much better than this?
This floating cinema is based on the techniques used by Thai fishermen to construct floating lobster farms. The raft is built out of recycled materials as a series of individual modules to allow for flexibility for its future use.
Archipelago Cinema is a collaboration between Ole Scheeren and the Film on the Rocks Yao Noi Foundation which is presided by Nat Sarasas, Apichatpong Weerasethakul and Chomwan Weeraworawit and Tilda Swinton.
It is part of a festival in Thailand which took place from 9th- 12th March 2012.

My favourite book … The Thoughtful Architecture of Wenche Selmer
Wenche Selmer is one of the few female architects who achieved recognition amongst Norwegian Architects in the 20th Century. Selmer placed great emphasis on how a house was to be used, which people were going to live there, and what needs these people had.
