Ciara O’Neill Lighting
Designer’s Statement :
Ciara O’Neill is a London based furniture/lighting designer with a First Class Degree with Honours from the Dublin Institute of Art and Design. Since graduating she has completed several private commissions while also working at SCP. In 2009 she embarked on a self directed project investigating the untapped structural possibilities of corrugated plastic.
During the course of her experiments Ciara developed a unique method of forming this industrial sheet material, pushing it in ways it has never been pushed before. Having now mastered the process she creates beautiful sculptural forms which provide exciting diffusion for naked light.
