One of the highlights of Clerkenwell Design Week for me was Bethan Gray’s range Carve based on the traditional-legged table, found throughout Wales as a solution to uneven slate floors.

Rather in love with my new ‘Moutarde’ birthday wallet. The rest of their collection is rather lovely too. Christmas is only a few months away!

Just seen the underside of the 1616 Arita collection is as perfect as the side you are meant to see.
Arita is one of the oldest porcelain manufacturers in Japan. These subtle pieces focus on traditional Japanese colors (aquarelle blue, light green, red-orange, and yellow ochre) combined with minimal modern forms.

Chaise for Hallingdal 65
2012
Kvadrat
The Chaise for Hallingdal 65 was designed for the Hallingdal 65 exhibition, put on by the Danish textile manufacturer Kvadrat in celebration of their classic textile. The Chaise was imagined as a piece of furniture intended only to hold a piece of fabric. Considering how a roll of textile would find comfort and sit most naturally, the chaise allows the fabric to drape between a post that secures the roll itself and a rail that allows the end of the material to hang. The structure is made of aluminum castings and extrusions, and plastic fittings.

Over the last few weeks I have been working on concepts for a private house in Polperro, Cornwall. The project requires a number of sliding screens to provide a certain degree of shade in the main living space. My research has taken me to investigate several options for the treatment of these screens which last week led me to visit the studio of Ismini Samanidou.
Ismini Samanidou is an award winning textile designer and artist whose work has been exhibited worldwide.
